FTR projectiles

Hi All,
Just curious as to what is the current trend is in FTR bullets?
I have a 10 twist barrel

On a serious note mine is shooting 155vlds with a good 140 thou odd jump into very nice groups.

Might try the 110s for running in the barrel while spotlighting

I have been using moly coated Berger 185 Juggernauts in a 1:11 kreiger barrel from day one with my 308.
I wanted a 1:10. but at the time there was none available. Les R made a tuner for me and the gun just hums. a 10 thou jump with 46.5 grains of 2208. ((note bullets are moly coated. Uncoated less powder should be used)

125gr speet TNT driven hard bughole at the shorts.
Heavy bullets . . . . 185 jugg, 200hyb, 200.20x, 200jacks, 208 Hornady, 210 LRBT, 215hyb, . . . . . . .230hyb would be the popular ones. Ive seen some noslers and sierras shoot very well to but they arent as popular over here as there is a lot of yellow box tunnel vision. Depnding on your twist and throat different people prefer different bullets and it seems like those with enough experience to really know dont let much info out.

Tim has seen first hand what 110s do on "reactive" targets. It can be quite dramatic.

From the research I have done, 200 Hybrids seem to be the "safe" choice for a top class F/TR bullet. The 200 Jacks and new 200 Sierras do have a great BC but from what I have read, often need a bit more fine tuning or testing outside the usual seating depth ranges to find best performance. Personally I have opted for a short chamber to try the 168 Hybrids (at short/mid ranges) and 200 Jacks (at long range). If I cant get them to work well, I can easily get it throated out longer to suit 200 Hybrids, but Matt gives me the look a headmaster gives a naughty child when I ask him to shorten the throat.
From what I have read, 200 Jacks might be a little too long for 10" twist in cold winter mornings, but should work as things warm up a little and the air density is slightly lower.
