Hi All,
Only a bit over 3 weeks to go till the ACT Queens.
I'm planning to get there, hopefully there will be a good turn out!
Better get your holidays approved or do a quick build up of brownie points to get the OK :)
I guess it will be on ETs?
Either way it's good to get away shooting.
So who's going?

I’m in. 3 days only for me.

The burning question, 6mm the whole way Tim??

Maybe, and that's a big maybe :D
I think it's nearly sorted out...

Hey Tim,

A man with your skills should be able to do it easily with the 6mm.

I may even attend with a 308 to keep you honest.

Cheers.

So Ben
How about we shoot the lead up with 6mm only?

I wish I could make the lead up. Queens only for me.

I’m planning to give my Dasher a run on the Friday and reevaluate from there. If it’s not Sydney esque conditions I’ll probably shoot all ranges with it.

Maybe you should give us mere mortals a chance Tim, I have a very accurate 17hmr you can borrow ;)

Getting lucky with a couple of wins doesn’t quite elevate me to immortal.
Although it may help with the mind games

On a side note I see only 2x 800 for the Queen’s , 2x 500 and 5x 600
A 6mm may do well
I’d prefer 5x 800 and 2x 600 (with a saum)

Not long to go now
I’m preparing my 6x47 brass loaded with some old 115 Dtacs which go well at 900 yds.

If I need to do fouling shots will this be possible at the range or will I have to go next door to the ssaa?

Day 1 of the Rolf has started out with light showers
We had a brief pause for the locals who appeared to never have seen it before.
I thought they were being soft but Sharpie assured me they were actually being sensible.
My 6mm project is looking a little iffy at the moment but I’ll persist.

Late news for the day
We got wet but all ranges were completed

I will make a point of catching up with the next generation of F Open shooters I haven’t met who are doing very well
Well done R Bailey F Open and Don Laughton in FTR
I’m searching for a copy of the book of most believable excuses for target shooters but alas it’s nowhere to be found... that doesn’t help my current standing #-o
