Hello again,

Its all over Rover, and another very good Nationals. I heard several people sum up the conditions as "benign". Tricky occasionally, but the main thing you needed was accurate gear.

In F-Open, John Tracey made a late run, and in F/TR Shane Green showed us what might have been without the earlier equipment problems.

From my own perspective it was great to see such good numbers in F-Open - badge numbers were increased from 4 to 8 - and nice to see Rod Davies and Dave McNamara returning from the wilderness (not often a get a chance to catch them short on practice :D ).

These Nationals are becoming a classy event - hopefully F-Std numbers will improve in future - there still seems to be some sort of boycott going on over the move from Canberra - pity really as its only harming F-Std.

Here's a few pics of the F-Class winners, courtesy of Richard Steel.

Congratulations to all the winners, and great to see such high numbers. One day maybe I can get there and experience it first hand.

Yes congratulations to all the winners and all the other shooters. Looked like a great event. Thanks to Alan for keeping us all informed through-out.
I hope Tony doesn't have too much work planned for you.
That suntan will make you stand out in Rosedale!

Big Congrats to Steve Sharp from me, what a tussle it was we were battling it out the whole 5days, he didn't admit it to me, but I reckon he had a severe case of DeJaVu coming into the last 1000yd match, hope to see you on a range again soon mate....

Back on deck after a "flying weekend" and big day yesterday to catch up at work again.
It was great to have a shot again and fantastic to catch up with everyone.

A few things that stand out to me and need mentioning.
1) the outstanding performance from Alan =D> - it really was quite dominant.
2) Also a great hit from Sharpey and congrats to other winners (and all those that "nearly" got there)
3) It was great to see Rod come back and enjoy himself. The old smile, jokes and digs were all there and he nearly cracked the top spot as well =D> - was great to see Alan and Rod at the top but with soo many new faces pushing the level - could be very interesting next year......
3) The general level of shooting has improved so much. It now feels like there are 20 shooters that could take the gong. This is truly outstanding - we now have a world class competition!!!
4) The biggest thing I would like to reiterate on as it really struck me as amazing. Even in this competitive sport of ours there is an overriding level of mateship and help. It is not dog eat dog and do anything to get on top of your competition (for most anyway)
Mark especially but also Shane green were overly generous on the weekend and didn't ask for gear back when it could have helped. They gave generously and helped their fellow competitors out at cost to themselves.
=D>=D>=D>=D>=D>

It's back up! I thought there were 10 ranges to a modern Queens with the double 600.

It was such a impressive display by Alan.

I'm a old fashion tr shooter. I had 2 new fstd B shooters with me. They had some great results over the week. Lucas won the f stb B grand. But I must say I was so proud of his wife Kylie she won a range with a 60-8.

The reason for this post is to thank the fclass community for making them both feel so welcome. David mac scored for Kylie in the queens. Thanks mate for the advice over the 10 ranges.
