Hey Chop, you said you would have liked to have shot Richie Neils 300WSM on the last day of the Vic queens. Well, you may as well go a 7mm barrel then. :D

Seriously though, fantastic effort by you- between Tassie and now NQ your obviously not lucking it. Well done mate.

Brad - Wild Dog has been up in the results for quite a few years now and getting better and better. He works hard, has many rifles that shoot extremely well at all ranges and is getting Loads of practice in. Anyone who thinks he just "lucks" it in is sadly mistaken.

I will start a new topic for you Mark - It is an interesting one but not as easy to implement here as in the batch shooting in the states.

DaveMc,
We had this topic discussed a while ago after a Queens at Belmont. Similar thoughts as it appeared unfair that some shooters got the so called easy weather and some of the leaders got cut up badly. But it may be worthwhile to discuss the issue of squadding the top 10 say shoot first or last in the same conditions again with our S&T leaders.
Or, have I missed Marks intentions with his post.

All said tongue in cheek Dave, I had a good talk to Mark in Tassie and I know he is the business.

I didn't take it any other way Brad :D Just filling you (and others) in a bit more. I would suggest Mark might get more range time than anyone else in the NRAA and has significant talent to boot (gunsmithing , loading and shooting). He deserves to be where he is - at the top of the game.

All I am looking to do is make it more even not perfect, im first to admit I have luck at times but would feel a lot beter to win on similar conditions, cheers Dave hope to shoot against you some time soon. Another point was the 7 point for the x, probably harder to do due to international scoring , as a 59.9 has got to be better than a 60.1

He also remains firmly at the top of the RANKINGS. :D . Not much change in the top few in F-Std either, just Jim Blomfield getting closer.

It'll be awkward, but I may try to restore the old "Previous Position"column so the movers are more obvious.

PS If the you don't get the May 18 rankings, try pressing Refresh (F5).

Mark,

In terms of SOME ways of looking at accuracy, 59.9 is better than 60.0. In terms of what our rules require us to do (and we all know the rules), it is worse.

And as you say, its probably going to stay that way.

Well done to the winners a tightly fort competition
There is always a little luck need
top 10 squadding would level the playing field and what a spectacle that could be
IMO As far as scoring goes keep it the same as the international model it work well universally around Australia.

Great work by josh almost felt I was there

Mark - You may not have seen the thread we started on this topic in rules and future of F class (need to log in first to see it.)

BIG THANKYOU

I want to say "THANKYOU" to all the people who offered there help to me at the NQRA Queens, those people are.
Peter Smith, for watching me shoot and offering his very knowledgable advice on why I was getting so much elevation. Also Peter loaned me and showed me how to use his culminator.
Steve Lazares, for loaning me his Nightforce scope to see if my scope was at fault. Steve also offered me a barrel and loads that I could use if I wanted.
Mark Fairbairn, for the loan of his 7mm SAUM and allowing me to put his barrelled action into my stock with my trigger.
Alan Fraser, for the offer of a loan of a Leupold scope.
This was a great event which threw a lot of differing conditions and once again it was a great learning curve for me, I have come away with more knowledge and how to read them.

Once again Thankyou All for your help and advice.
Cheers
Paul
