Dave McNamara.
Rod Mahon.
The best credentialed.
Champion marksmen who have the respect of their peers and the belief that Dave and Rod will do the job.

John Tracey.

P.S. They get to spend their big bucks, but they cannot do it without unselfish help.

Good luck Dave and Rod!

It's a long road to Canada, so time to strap in for the ride.

Looking forward to the trial process, and working with new shooters and coaches.

Cheers,

Mike.

Just a quick thank you to everyone for the kind words, emails and phone calls of support. It is certainly a great honour to be named Captain for the FO side.

I would also like to thank all the team nominees. There was a resounding influx on the second round and a large number of nominations in both teams. This is an overwhelmingly good position to be in at the moment but of course makes some logistical and decision making processes harder.

Rod, Bob and I are now getting stuck into it and working hard with the NRAA on the training/trial/selection process for Belmont and Canada. Full steam ahead.

Cheers,
Dave McNamara

A message from Rod,
He apologises but has lost internet and email until after the weekend. He is working hard on the nominations at the moment and communicating by phone.

It appears that decisions have been made,I received a email with a dear John letter this afternoon, telling me that I wasn't chosen, however when I have some more experience and do better,I am more than welcome to apply for future teams.

Perhaps we got the wrong letter Mike. I'm sure we were meant to get the one saying we were too old and past it.

I well remember the first TR State team I nominated for. Got told much the same. Know what? They were right and I was wrong.
Went into training, upgraded my gear, lost the " I'm good " syndrome and made quite a few teams over the following years.
