Does no electronic devices on the mound include electronic ear muffs.

any word on the reasoning for enforcing no electronic devices on the mound?

Adam,
Sorry mate I have no idea. There must have been an announcement sometime before I got there. I hobbled away from my chair to go up on the mound carrying my IPad, just after the 500 yd range started, and two or three people kindly pointed out that they had all been told that it was a No-No.
I just accepted it, coz I had been aware of the "rule" and wasn't in any condition/position to question things. Someone else might know if there was actually any incident ?

No electronic devises on mound is to stop anyone communication what ever to the butts or to shooters on the mound The rule would also apply to the markers
Some pll will try anything to win.

Well I'm not at the coalface , but what I can say its very close in F-Open, and a bit more spread out in F-Std and F/TR

Great 60.10 from Craig! =D> =D> .

The Calcutta is on again here : http://ozfclass.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=6126

Thanks Alan,

Must admit it was a good patch, but I needed the mental "Pick me up" after a soul destroying double 600 the day before.

Suffered with vertical at 900 which cost me all but one of my lost shots. The Calcutta should be interesting tomorrow, only one range is now being scheduled. 1000 yards. The 900 at this stage has be canceled dependent on the weather.

Rocket Rod has the "Red Mist" in the eyes. Right behind him is the dark horse Cameron, who after struggles earlier in the week has hit his straps. Mike is apparently back at the hotel polishing the 7 RSAUM barrel as we speak in preparation for tomorrow. To add to the mix, don't forget Matt.
He had a great last 900 and knows how to win.

Who to pick????

Early report, Looks like results may stay as they are? Heavy rain overnight, and still raining now. Expected to increase during the day. Andrew Mayfield from the QRA did mention last night that there could be a possibility that they would wait around till midday to shoot the 1000, to catch a break in the weather.

Mr Berry and I shall try to keep you all informed.

Regards

Craig McGowan.

Not ideal weather, but I'm sure it's nothing the Scott's and the Welsh wouldn't have to deal with regularly.

As an outdoor sport it's really something that event organisers and NRAA need to work at finding a solution to maximise participation. Even something like a fixed covered area at the farthest mound on a range might be a feasible compromise...very european 8)

Ahem. Also very Rosedale  .

That'll be a pity if no 1000yds. Its usually what determines the outcome at Belmont, and in both F-Open and F-Std B, there's several within easy striking distance. That said, the current leaders deserve to be there with the conditions endured so far.

According to facebook they are on at 1000yds. Rod Davies has probably just finished and Matt Paroz to go to decide who gets it.

Come on Alan surely your in need of a facebook account?

I only just got here, and CRO Keilly is keeping score at the on
Y coved area at the 1000 yar mound.
Mr Roderick Davies has apparently shot a superb 60-2 in the rain to take it out.
Seems Cam McEwans 58-something will earn him a Silver medal.
Trying to track McGowan down in the rain, so will look for him at the bar.
Looks like it should be all done and dusted by 10am, and then the long wait till 3pm for dignitaries, before the official presentations

I believe there is a lot more to the Davies story.
A rumor that he dropped his rifle on the way up the mound, and wrecked his scope.
Craig McGowan is onto the story and is interviewing Rod to get the full story so watch this space !!
