Just arrived 6pm Friday
I’m pretty sure Sydney 2019 was my last Queen’s!
Not sure of numbers attending this Queen’s but there’s a few vans set up and a lot of cars parked outside the various club houses.
Weather still looks promising for the next 3 days.
8am to “check” wind zeros tomorrow.
I did some last minute loading before leaving home- I ordered some bergers that were supposed to arrive on Thursday but turned up an hour before leaving :) no pressure
Best of luck to all who are here!

This my kind of day at the beach

Wind is running right to left at about 2 mins on a saum, I only had around 1/2 min variation when I shot.
Sometime soon the wind will change direction-hopefully not when I’m shooting.
Quite a few 60s on the board for the first 500m

The wind did change around 2pm
It was only gradual so plenty of good scores
The Sargard match was called off- I think because of a slower cycle of shooters due to covid precautions
The ocean breeze kept the temperature down and if you were under some shade it was pleasant.
I did manage to spot a drop off on the second range which wasn’t there
As far as I know the targets are working and no complaints.
It’s great to be able to do a Queens after last year
Maybe someone can put up the results?

My face is glowing red right now...more sunscreen needed tomorrow! Haven't seen anything regarding the scores at this stage Tim, NRAA website has a link but nothing has been uploaded as yet.

Day 2
More than a few of us have a red glow from yesterday’s sunshine.
The day has started with low visibility.

Should be another lovely day at the beach!
Well done to all winners from yesterday and good luck for today

Just stopping for lunch now
Quite a few 60s being shot again
I came up with a couple of 59:5s which just won’t cut it, Matt P recons the problem is organic...
Not a cloud in the sky 30deg and the breeze is like having the ac on.
15 shots at 700m after lunch.
I won’t be too disappointed if it gets a bit wild.

The 700 is pretty much done.
Wind was around 3-4 mins on my saum but it was mostly steady producing many 90s for the scope shooters and 75s for the sling crew.
I’ll put up the scores later if someone else doesn’t get to it first.

Your SAUM was at the sharp end of the field at 700m Tim - still no working link to the NRAA site - apparently the server went down...

Correction and appologies
William Bailey from the goulburn club, another youngster won this range.
Jock shot a 90:12

Not pointy enough unfortunately-90:13 landed me a second behind young Jock Foster from the Armidale club!
Jock also shot a 60:10 on a previous range!!!

Day 3
800m x10 then 15
D1A8D054-3D40-4DB5-AC48-9F3275147170.jpeg

Wind is from NE running left to right fairly constant
3 min on my saum
John Simons just shot a 60:7 in F Std
I’m guessing today will be similar to yesterday and not too much of a change in positions
Whatever they are as the system has failed and hopefully we will know soon.
Two targets failed yesterday, one due to a stray shot through a sensor.
My experience with the targets has been fine but I’m still a supporter of manual targets for major comps...we need a stirring the pot imogie
