When the going got tough Rod made it look all too easy Albert. It's always enjoyable just to watch the likes of Rod shoot.

Back home from a very tough but enjoyable shoot.
The weather forecasts were for torrential rains, but fortunately, every time we rushed off for the wet weather gear, the rain disappeared quickly.
As others mentioned, the winds were usually quite strong, but with occasional reasonable conditions, interspersed with very tricky changes
With the mixed conditions and very close results in Open class, there were a number of people who could have taken the lead at the end, but I made the most of a lucky break in conditions.
The NSW Queens is one of my favourites, for a few reasons, usually good weather, lush, grassy mounds, interesting conditions, plenty of cheap onsite accommodation and catering, as well as great views, being on the beach 10 minutes from the centre of Sydney.
The new range format is the best of any Queens in Australia, starting at 500 meters before quickly going back to longer ranges on proper targets as all championship shoots should be. It was all very well run once again. All in all, a very enjoyable Queens which everyone should add to their calendar next year.

Sounds like a great idea, I’ve never seen a range with a view like that, I’m guessing the wind is pretty constant? Reckon I can convince the whole family to come to there

When the wind is from the left it is fairly consistent, but it is trickier when it is from the right, as it was for 95% of this shoot. It only came from the left in 2 minute bursts.
As for a Queens to bring the family to, I can’t think of a better one.
It is minutes away from Coogee or Bondi beach and right next to Maroubra beach.
There are buses into Sydney CBD 15 minutes away leaving from the shopping centre next to the range. The range is one of the most picturesque in the world, no dust and flies and plenty of room for kids to roam around.

Correct me if I am wrong, but is this Mr Davies' 20th Queens win ?

I make it 19. See https://www.ozfclass.com/results/queens/fclqwins.htm. But if he was prepared to shoot on ETs it would almost certainly be significantly more.

The most wins in F-Std is 15 (Bob Pedersen). He's also won in F-Open once and while I don't have hard info, would have had some TR wins during his long A Grade career.

In F/TR there are two leaders on 5 wins, Daryl Barlow and Gary Faulkner.

I would say the confusion is from A Davies winning Canberra in 2012, so it looks like a paltry 19, unless you count Bendigo 2020?
I can still only get out to so many Queens a year, whether they are on ETs or manuals.
