I would however like a class where people need to use tactical rifles with Harris style bi-pods.

this would work for me too.

I reckon thats pretty much F/TR as it is I think. It just allows some of those wierd and massive bipods to use used aswell but wouldnt stop people from using Harris, Atlas, Versapod, AI, TRG, etc bipods at all.

F/TR is not all about tactical gear, What are you guys gonna say when people come in with a purpose built F/TR target rifle? When you guys use the word 'Tactical', you really mean 'field' which is far removed from 'Target' but You will see that when you get out and about to a few competitions.

Tom, I understand that mate. But those style rifles would have a better chance in F-TR then say F-Std or F-Open. Ive seen some purpose built F-TR style rifles and they are different from my 308 but the are still shot off bipods that use the similar principles technique wise. Its less about the gear and more about the shooter I think. See what happens. Lets hope the WA clubs get on board with F-TR and the prize meets start having them. I'll enter :)

I do note the thread is 12 months old. That must be as far as they got with that class.

I saw some stuff about that on snipers hide. I reckon all the tactical stuff would fit straight into F/TR, just except the brakes and suppressors.

I use a ballistics program to get me on target and a wind meter. Helps a bit.
