Honestly I don't know! I was assuming the 200 grain berger but if they impose the <160 grain limit it would be frustrating to chamber a new rifle for an obsolete load...

You will find that Dolphin has an Australian distributor. See http://www.hoptontrading.com.au. they have an add in the latest ATR MAGAZINE. Also, the "old bloke" that made Jasmay's stocks is now booked out until next year.

The Dolphin stock may be out of your budget, however the photos certainly look good. I have ordered one to play with. Unfortunately, being in the southpaw minority group (however superior), I have the expected several month wait to receive the thing. Once imported, scrutinised to verify it will not be used in mass killings because I ordered the black one, I will hopefully receive it and will verify it shoots as well as it looks.

Caveat Emptor lads. The stock jasmay alludes to is custom made. As was the stock RD used to win in Canada the other day. Made by the same "Old Man" in Australia ? I think.

It would be good to hear from the old man in Australia lol. The budget can defiantly stretch for the right stock but if it's getting towards 2 it's probably too much. I'm also happy to wait for production if it's worth it!

That would be Bob eager, he chimed in above, I don't like to talk for him and haven't had a chance to speak with him, but, as he says in his post he is booked up for the rest for the year.

Bob makes incredible stocks, and he also LISTENS to you on your design ideas and measurements, I think I am up to my 7th stock from bob, it took about 3 or 4 to get things 100% right with little tweaks and trials. Not that the first stocks were not excellent quality or shot well, they did that and then some, I was simply after a stock that was easy to shoot, and I firmly believe various design parameters improve this.

Bob is a true gentlemen, he is a retiree that loves to tinker whilst helping his sport flourish, he has offered me the opportunity to spend some time with him making a stock, I hope work/life balance allows that to happen before he completely retires into a life of luxury and shooting, Australia needs more people with his skill set and willingness to help the sport.

Well Jason, some people are quick to put others down.... but there is 2 parts to my post and the other part that is relevant, his budget of $1k.
