300 is a good load development range  work depicts when and where I shoot unfortunately, not range or weather and its still a fairly long road until I retire

Those who read this thread earlier my be interested to know what we have decided. The club members were nearly all in favour of dropping 300, and keeping 1000. Taking that into account, and this ozfclass Poll, we have decided to go
  • Day 1 : 500, 600, 700yds
  • Day 2 : 800, 900, 1000yds
For those who want a 300, if you qualify then the Vets PM on the Friday will be 300, 500 and 600yds.

The main beneficiaries of dropping 300 will be the markers, but also the shooters (in general 300yd marking does not go as smoothly, and ring lines are not as well maintained as at longer ranges).

For those who are against the change, I hope you will agree that we have consulted widely (for several years now) before taking the plunge. We try to do everything well at this PM and we see this as an improvement.

If my memory serves me there's usually a class for juniors in the Vets' meeting.
