Be wary using some top end engine cleaners. GM Top End cleaner is now no longer available to the public as it is apparently carcinogenic. Andy.

Tried the carby cleaner on a nylon brush. I did not get any extra carbon out of a clean barrel, so i suspect my usual cleaning regimen is getting it all ....
I use sweets monthly and other weeks i use hoppes 9 or whatever, just to remove powder.

Me too...had to try the carby cleaner.....pleased to report that it didn't show the slightest bit of carbon.
