I have finally got the hybrids shooting as well Alan (pretty worried for a while)and basically same velocity as yours. First two barrels didn't like em but new Truflite seems to. Nice to have that sort of BC isn't it! Bodes well for you having two exceptional barrels going for FCWC. Great news.

ps we also have a couple of guys now in our club that can also join the 2* "Shoulda cut the sixes" club (although one of mine was a 60.8 followed by 2 more for 10). Marty and I have now made a deal to cut em in club days (but not OPM's or queens). A bit of a " I will if you do" situation. Since doing the deal neither of us have got that close though. A few others seem to be cottoning on now and doing same. It seems a much more common phenomenon (not saying it is easy by any means) to just miss the first one or two then get onto it. A lot harder to manage 10 in a row from cold bore shot though so we figure the likelihood of a 60.10 coming from cut sighters is far greater than from straight off the bat. More to the point you can't get one if you keep a 6.

Dave, is this a NQ stratergy for the Team Shoot?

You must have been in Marty's ear cause we went out to the 800m line last week for some hybrid trials and he insisted on the 300 target!!

Alan - I did notice the scores in TR were a little down. That makes your scores even more impressive when someone of Geoffs standard drops a few 4's. Great work!

Its been a while since we have been hearing the jibes (previously often justified) about F std beating F Open. People are now realy starting to get these open cartridges working, but much more importantly, how to steer them. Soon enough F/TR will start catching up to F/std levels as well I think.

FS is a worry is'nt it?

Look at the relative scores F-Open to F/TR to F-Std.

Just wait until they approve the Berger for FS and any weight 308 for F/TR

Hey Barry, why do FS and F/TR need to have Berger's approved? The scores that I've seen of late (including TR), would imply that the NRAA approved projectiles are more than good enough

Some shooters are getting exceptional scores with standard Sierra's and Dyer's, so I don't think they need Bergers. If they were, then they'd be shooting 60.10 all the time

I would not take a lot of notice of those FTR scores relative to F/S, in reality they were only training/experimental results. The second and third place getters in FTR are two of the best F/S shooters in NSW. Both were trialling loads and had not time to do justice to the event. Neither were happy with their loads and both would have done better with their normal F/S rifles and ammo. The only reason I got ahead of them was that my gear was better. I used some match rifle ammo that was lying in the cupboard, after I changed to 208 grain A Max`s.It had 200 grain SMK projectiles and the wind can move them quite easily, as my second stage showed.

Hey Mike,
FS and F/TR don't NEED to have Bergers approved, it's just that F/TR is not F/TR without fully complying ( ammo wise ) and it's a foregone conclusion that TR and FS will have Bergers approved. Not because I want them, because somebody else wants them.
It has nothing to do with wanting to be like FO- unless FO shooters plan to come down to using 155's
