I think was back in 2016 I purchased M1 Kelbly stock directly from Kelblys no police forms required I rang customs in Port Adelaide (and emailed ) they confirmed not required . Just prepare for the import tax’s / duties that incurs.

[font=Georgia]That is exactly what Border Force told me when I posed the question this September while sorting out a B709 import.
I was told that a B709 was only required for stocks if they are of the "Folding" variety, otherwise no permit is required and they can be made of any type of material, wood, composite or metal.
As mentioned already, you will have to pay GST for anything over A$1'000[/font]
