I only turned up this Arvo so I can’t give you too Much . Looks like my old sparring partner Dave Boreham took home the bacon with Mark Azz 2 Nd only on centres . With My western Country Bumpkin Mate Lowell coming back from 7 th the day before for a well earned 3 rd in f open .
Glad I got here today to check my zero and fowl . As we are starting 8 am . So wouldn’t have been able to do it in the morning!
Anyway we shall give it a crack tomorrow and if I’m up to it I’ll take a pic or two and report back . See how I feel !
Well done to all today !
Best wishes Graham Sells .

Well , what a day at the Qld Queens. The day started of with fog and near perfect conditions for the 300 yds . Where if you didn’t get a 60.plus you weren’t in the hunt . There was a slight flick of wind that caught some out ! For the first time ever I cut my six in the sighters !
Then the 500 yds with near perfect conditions for the first down and then started getting sporting by the last down . Wind left to right .
Then the final 15 count 600 yds was tricky! My detail could have been an 84.0 as it was just so Flicky . I would drill an x and would have to stop as things would become so unstable! Then try and get back into the 6 ring and drill another x or 2 and have to stop . So was pure wind reading and not machine gunning as some think us F open guys and Gals do !
Yours truly brought home the ham for today On 209 .22 , with Jason Meyers 209.20 and Dave Boreham taking third .
Long way to go yet !
Tomorrow we are doing 1000 yds first up and I’m first down . As they are worried about the rain coming !

interesting to note that FstdA and F-Open are on the same scores after day 2. (415) although a few more in Open on 415 so it's anyone's tomorrow in Open. Denis Aarons (FstdA) is 5 points in front of the pack so, good luck Denis

Thanks for the report Graham
Always good to hear from someone who’s there!
Keep up the good work
74 sling shooters and 80 with scopes
I’m guessing a few of our senior brothers opted out due to the Kung flu
Looks like a great comp happening

Well the day began with rain , I was first down at 1000 and conditions looked like a 90.15 . But the flags were wet and no mirage which is essential at this range at the ton wasn’t present. There was a 2-3 mph 2 o’clock wind that didn’t show itself and the usual Belmont gremlin was catching people out and having them scratch their head ! So it was a lot harder than it looked . I know I really had to fight for my 87.7 ( x count ??) with 3 dropping out low and even after aiming at the top of the 6 ring and twiddling the elevation knob to keep the group centred . Others fared better and only dropped 1 and D Boreham got them all in !
The first 800 the wind started to sort itself out as before at the 1000 there were from time to time Eddies coming up the range that didn’t show themselves. I dropped another with a flick of the flag and it went way out of the group lol! Which was very frustrating! No brilliant wind reading today !!
Others made it pay and some just pain ! So a mixed bag at how unstable it was at times !
Last 800 . Some shot last and others were first down . The Ro’s called a break while a stormed rolled through . I must say the Ro’s have done such a great job and have been on point on every decision!
The conditions wouldn’t settle and again were from the west Which is a pain ! I managed a 60.2 with one super 5 just hanging in !
I’m not sure but I think E Mace may have taken the day ! ??
By some form of a miracle, I just held onto the lead by 2 x’s again from Lowell . Followed by D Boreham .
Tomorrow will sort is all out and the top 4 to 5 will shoot it out at 1000 15 count final . Very Trentham!
Good luck to all ! Regards Graham.

Thank you mate. Just taking each range as it comes and trying to apply the right strategy to each condition. The guns well in tune and I’ve been very lucky. It’s a strong field and honestly could still go to anyone. Doesn’t take much trip over at the Belmont longs. Cheers again.

I believe it might be a congestion problem on the Hex Systems website? I noticed at around 12:30 it was very slow but then came good. And now completely unavailable.

Looks like the 1000 at Belmont lived up to its reputation. A few would have gotten up shaking there heads after that one.
Congratulations to Andy McKillop, Gary Towers, Dave Boreham and Mark Fairbairn for taking out the F Classes.
Looks like Mitch Bailey and Scott Robson in TR. Well done!
