Excellent result boys and girls!! Hopefully we can hear a few stories over a bbq and few cold ones at the lower light club house on their return!

Hats off to the competitors and support staff BUT id like to extend a big THANK YOU to the partners and family's that have sacrificed time with their loved ones to enable them to dedicate their efforts to being the best shooting team in the world!

To those of you who are attempting to publicise our win:

There will I've no doubt soon be a another report on accurateshooter.com/6mmbr.com. Paul McMenamin was at the FCWC taking photographs, interviewing etc. This will be good background material for any Australian reports. His contact details are accurateshooter@gmail.com, 805-390-1900. He may agree to supply photographs additional to those on the website. Any immediate reports will just need to be news of the results, which are available at several sites. More indepth articles about the Australian Team effort could possibly wait until our return? Sorry I can't be of more help. My main priority today is packing, and getting on the road to Dallas. I don't believe the publicity aspect has been discussed, at least at team meeting level.

Like Alan says, we are all a bit tired and busy over here at the moment. Ben, Cameron and Julie have been sick for a few days and the rest are just plain worn out after being on the range from 06.45 to 7.00pm each day, then reloading until midnight.
Once we get time to relax a bit, maybe some of us can get something written down.

In regards to media coverage - don't be suprised if there is little or no interest. Its a shooting sport..... For example, our shotgunners have been winning numerous gold medals at world cup events this year. AISL has been putting out press releases left right and centre - but how much media coverage have you seen! Bisely was covered because we beat the Poms at something when the Poms were beating us at everything else - that was the angle - not the fact that an Aussie won a world championship!

I have tweeted the journalist who ran the Corbett story in the SMH a couple of weeks ago (winning the QP)... If he is interested ill put him in touch with Alan. I sent him a link to the Accurateshooter page as well...

OK ....just found it. Never heard of them before.....at face value looks like a good site !
Andrew, good work to make the effort and identify a way to the SMH and then just do it ! That is the sort of thing that we need more of from everyone.

Hello again. I'm sitting in a motel room in Decatur about an hour west of Dallas/Fort Worth. Will be going to the airport by taxi later, but have some time to spare, and at last, a respectable internet connection. There was a general internet reliability problem in the Raton area for our whole stay. I was told that lightning had struck a key wireless transmitter and the repair was a lengthy process. If that had not been the case, other team members could have e-mailed me photos etc. each night. Anyway, it obviously didn't detract from our performance, which was the priority (better getting good news late than ordinary news on time?).

I'll take the opportunity to post same photos that Steve Lazarus gave me quite early on. There are numerous others with photos in their cameras, but for various reasons, including how busy we all were, they never got onto my laptop. Anyway, here's some of Steve's :

I do find it interesting that AISL, who looks after the ISSF side of shooting, had better coverage than our own association!
