Berger 210 VLD load

Post by Josh Cox »

Hi everyone,

Am about to break in a brand new FTR rifle.

Have a few hundred 210 VLDs, who has had success with these, what jump, what powder, FPS etc etc.

Any advice ( useful loading :) ) is appreciated.

I know you asked about the Berger VLD but as nobody has replied yet this might give you a starting point. With the 210 Sierra I'm using Winchester cases, Federal GM210M, 50.4gr AR2209, base to ogive 2.475" which is just on the lands. Good luck!

Josh,

06H is a tad sudden for 210 loads at optimum velocity, particularly if you don't store your loaded ammo in an esky.

From memory around 2650. Comfortably under the ME limits where such apply. As John points out 2206H is a bit quick. I gave up on 2208 because it was giving excess pressure without the speeds I wanted.
