Hi Viz is the future.

Safety first. It'll soon be in the rule book, you'll have to get one too :-)

Be thankful that I'm not wearing hi viz pants. We call them Shorts in Victoria, and they are more effective during the winter months

Bartman007 sent me the photo, which I will post over later, but for now
MDRA prizemeeting over 800,900 and 1000
Fairbairn by 4 from Waites, then Lewis, then Pearce, Tracey, Dunsmore, Dunstall, then Boreham, Atkins, Schneider, Aaron's , McGowan and Daniel for a total of 13 today in Open.
A win in FTR to Jason Mayers and 4 started.
8 in F Std A AND 7 in B
I made it in for a quick peek at 1000 and it was mostly pretty messy.
Mark got a good patch and rattled em off in superb style to shoot a 60-5.
Others got eaten alive by shocking patches of mirage and wind.

Alan, Dave Boreham is a North Arm member. He's Recently purchased a Hart??? 6.5 x 47 in a McMillan F-class stock, a Farley Co-axial rest and has been shooting REALLY, REALLY well throughout this year.

Great Job Dave.

Broken hearts everywhere here at Belmont after the 300 yds and then 500 yards. Very switchy conditions left a lot of confused shooters .
Roderick shot his 28th straight 60 at 300 with the Dasher, but not enough X's to beat Jenni Hausler home with her 60-9 shot with "that" 284 Win.
Into the final 600 now, with 6-8mph winds mainly from the left
Lindsay Crombie from Brisbane RC is shooting well with his self made Aluminium stock, and after a 60-4 at the first 600, just got up with a 59-7.
There is still 3 to 5 shooters left on each of the 21 targets, so Day one of the Leadup is a long way from being over

A superb shooting performance today by Spencer Dunstall to only drop one point over four ranges, and on a day that broke some hearts. Have a look at the quality of the field that sits behind him, and it sort of speaks volumes about how well he drove that little Dasher today : =D>

I had a great day hobbling around on my crutches and annoying old friends ! After about ten weeks away from shooting it was a real buzz to get back into the middle of things with all of that noise, gunpowder and nerves going all around ! Sort of like a little drug fix, with the famous "Ekka Winds" that early August in Brisbane is well known for, thrown in to really make it interesting.
It is great to see the strong support from far North Qld, NSW! The ACT and Victoria in F Open.
Hopefully McGowan, Hausler and others will keep us all up to speed for the end of the Leadup tomorrow.

When you see names like Lobert, McEwan and Paroz left well behind there's no doubt about it - Spencer is taking F Open quite seriously :D ! But it ain't over till its over, in fact some would say it ain't started till the Queens starts.

With such a strong field at Belmont again, how do our non-attending members feel about another online Calcutta???

Calcutta sounds good Alan. My money is going to put on Rocket Rod. I think he is here for business and is just lulling Spencer into a false sence of security.

Absolute carnage at 1000 yds. Leader board as at breakfast is now totally irelevant
Marty a 49
Matt P a 45
Ben Ferrara a 48
Sharpie a 49-2
Wild Dog a 53
Jenni Hausler a 54
Kel Bell a 52

7mm.com.au Facebook page, and Jenni Hauslers Facebook page are most up to date , and both with running commentary
Will try to get some of their verbiage copied over. Bloody Ipad won't cooperate
