Very considerate of you all not to mention the appearance of the flags in Josh's photos. As Peter Smith said this afternoon, good conditions for testing. Apparently weather will be similar tomorrow. Hopefully the Queens will be a little more breezy. Regardless of that, very nice weather for sitting around at day's end.
We're expecting a few more for the Queens, so will leave any reports on calibres and gear till then.
Back tomorrow night - don't expect the finishing order to be the same as today. We're still all testing and using up old dodgy components (apart from Marty of course)
Yes it was an enjoyable contest. Conditions you'd have to say were very good - it was mostly a test of equipment, although there were a few little tricky patches that you needed to wait out. Marty and Peter showed how good their gear is at 900m. Paul Janzso is struggling with severe vertical with 230 hybrids in his 300WM. They say there should be clear days with more wind for the Queens so it should be more of a "true test" so to speak. BTW photographer Josh Cox is not just good at that - he won C Grade!
