This was a magic week for me. After I had 4 vertebrae fused in my neck in 2011, I was told that I'd never shoot prone again & frankly, I couldn't cut the mustard shooting off my elbows from a bench.
When I accidentally found I could get behind a rifle prone again, I figured that I should make the most of the opportunity while it lasts.
And some great performances in the 1500. That 74.7 in MR, and the 3 F-Open shooters with all scores in the 80s. Looks like this event is a practical proposition and hopefully will become an annual fixture for the ultra LR brigade.
Back at home now. Had a great trip. Would have posted more updates along the way but was having way too much fun to be sitting behind a silly computer.
Met heaps of nice people and made some new friends along the way. This has been a week I will remember for a long time.
And below is an image that I will find hard to forget as well…………..LOL.
