Swing actions
From my knowledge, they were common in the 70's and 80's. Their design was somehow linked (original design just modified/improved in later life) to become the Paramount and later RPA.
Basically a very well made action. One of the better builds of action at that time.
As the Barnard and RPA are today the top shelf in actions, the Swing was back then.

Hope that helps.

I met a guy from the Uk last year at the WARA Queens. Michael Wood from Huddersfield RC - very nice guy. He used one of the original SWING's from 1971. Had interesting stories about its history etc. It had the SIN71 on the side.
It is a 4 lug action, and is the same design outwardly as a Paramount or RPA. There have been many improvements in these 4 lug actions over the years, mostly aimed at functionality.
Mike still uses his in competition, and does well with it against other supposedly superior actions. I have seen a few others around the ranges here and there. They are probably more common in the UK.
