Hornady Considers 6.5mm, 130gr Amax Manufacture!

Post by IanP »

Over on 6mmbr.com I started a thread on how the 6.5mm Creedmoor, 260 Rem and 6.5x45L would benefit from Hornady making a 130 gr, high BC Amax in this caliber. This is the sweet spot for these rifles and others and a 130gr Amax would give us the ballistics to compete with the large calibers. Hornady make premium bullets at reasonable cost and I am a big fan of their 80gr, 223R Amax bullets.

The plastic tip holds the manufacturing costs down and allows high BC bullets at reasonable cost. This would provide a premium bullet to compete with the JLKs and Bergers and hopefully become readily available world wide like the rest of the Amax range.

If Hornady make it they will come!

This is becoming one the best ballistic solutions for 6.5mm shooters and manufacturers who make premium 130gr bullets will reap the rewards.

Visit here: http://6mmbr.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=3703402 to find out what Hornady had to say and also to hopefully copy and paste the open letter off to Hornady. Lets get Hornady to add this bullet to their Amax lineup!
