ANGEL 80

Post by Cameron Mc »

Anyone using an Angel based rifle for Open F Class. I can get one for a good price but just wondering if the trigger can be lightened without too much trouble. Maybe aftermarket triggers can be adapted.

Thanks, Cameron

Thanks Ken. This rifle has been in storage for 20 years and is too good to pass up for the price.

Trigger

you should be able to lighten the original trigger the sears are pretty good in the old actions take it to a good gunsmith that does trigger work and i would bet you could get a 8 oz trigger easily.

the action should be awsome they have a good bedding area and long tennon thread. A Club member here has one for standard and is rebarreling it now because of the long tennon you can use a verry heavy barrel with no problem.

Cheers Bill

Thanks Bill
I have owned a couple of these in the past and used in Fullbore. Good well machined solid action. Primary extraction is poor, but this can be improved buy installing a hardened collar at the base of the bolt handle.
I will let you know how the trigger goes.
