Looking at buying another scope it's between a T24 and Leupold 8.5 - 25 LRT, I've had Leupold in the past and wasn't impressed with their tracking, I'm after 1st hand experience with their lastest stuff, good and bad.
If I had the dollars I'd buy another Nightforce so don't go there.

I have a Leupold 8.5-25 LRT (had it for about 1.5yrs). I have found that it tracks well across the course and is repeatable. I have never had any issue with that. The clicks are nice and positive with no lash and require a firm force to move.
There have also been comments about the SF on these scopes being inconsistent. I believe they related to the older versions. I certainly have not had any problem with it holding a paralax setting throughout a string.
Optically, I shoot it on 25 90% of the time and I cannot fault it. I have brought it down to 16 or so a couple of times due to mirage again without any noticeable POI problems. It has good clarity with only a minor resolution difference to my NXS on the FS rifle.
I know that Pestbird has used the Weaver scopes extensively so he could prob give u a good rundown on them.

Hi Matt,bought VX11,6-18 target scope 5 years ago,never shifted off zero to when I replaced it 2000 rounds later.Bought VX111 EFR 6.5-20x40,love it.
Bought VX111 8.5-25x50 2 years ago for another rifle,can't fault it.When
I bought it,the only one available at the time had target dot reticle,never

far superior for sighting/target aquisition.Several shooters I know and see
are using the 8.5-20's.Good thing is they are $250 cheaper than when I

This could be worth a look - 30mm tube, 80 min adjustment! Has 1/4min clicks which may not suit some.
Price of 4.5 - 30X with Multi-X reticule is about $US900 so similar to Leupold.
Bushnell has always been good for quality - they just never had much in the way of target scopes.

I had a look at that scope, looks OK but has a shit warranty (1 year), I haven't owned a scope yet that hasn't failed, including a Nightforce.
I've been looking on the net, we are getting ripped off by the importers, the most expensive quote I have for a 8.5-25 VX111 and a set of QRW rings to suit is $990.00 AU including post and any duty.

I'm not certain, but think that Bushnell's one year "no questions asked" replacement warranty for the Elite is probably in addition to their "limited lifetime" warranty which is standard across all of their scopes.
With the $US the way it is now, I'd say many importers have been caught with stock that was bought when it was high. I have heard that scopes are now a restricted export from the US???

I have a Weaver T 24 on one of my rifles, it's almost as good as the Nightforce. It tracks perfect the only noticable difference is the Nightforce gathers a little more light, also I find that the fine dot is better to aim with on the Nightforce, than the fine cross hair dot reticule in the Weaver thats only a personal choice.
If I was starting out in F/standard and know what I know now I would take the Weaver T 24 as first choice, becides I can buy (3) T 24's for the price of one Nightforce, FML Firearms in Nowra is selling Weaver T 24 & T36 scopes for under $700 each . if you need more info on FML Firearms

The T series Weaver seems a good scope, and good value too. We are certainly getting ripped off by importers - hope they see this.
Retail for T36 in US right now, US$395 if you know where to look, plus postage (probably US$25). There is no restriction as far as I know, have bought about 5-6 scopes from there in last year with no problems.
To me, AU$700 is steep, when one can be had a lot cheaper.
