Members trying to contact me for a copy of my latest book will have had problems contacting me. My email had been hacked again and many members would have received a hackers message. This time the hacker got in and used a modified outlook address, which I never use, to get into my email account and somehow also blocked my bigpond address.
This presented a major problem for Telstra to sort out over the last two weeks and required three visits to the local Telstra office before it was resolved. They now do not let Outlook to be linked to Bigpond email. They told me "we are having a lot of problems with our email system".
I am offering this information to all members, because Telstra also admitted that the "hackers are getting very sophisticated and it is very difficult to distinguish whether their contact with us is genuine". In my case I did not check the actual hackers email address because it appeared to come from Telstra. That is a lesson for all of us.
The bottom line is that if you wish to order my current book you can now contact me on the original email address at g.mincham@ bigpond.com.
Sorry about any inconvenience and my poor knowledge of how to identify any suspicious emails.
regards,
Graham Mincham

Thanks for the heads up, my mother has experienced the same problem, she gets me to check her emails since it happened before.
The fraudulent Telstra ones are very convincing, I could only tell from the address line.

I assume Telstra has an app for your phone?
If so down load the app and use that to manage your account or receive any notifications.
I essentially ignore any email from any provider , the ATO ect ect and log into the app if I feel the title of the email might be legitimate or if interest.
Essentially emails from providers is dead these days as you are bombarded with 100 fake emails to every genuine.
