Barcaldine OPM

Post by Steve N »

Thanks to everyone involved for organising a terrific event. Very challenging and extremely enjoyable weekend with really nice people. Fantastic that it was held the weekend after the Gemfields so that the amount of travel could be cut down for us. A trip thoroughly recommend if anyone is considering a trip out west next year.
Steve.

Howard, were you shooting your barrel that was previously carbon fouled ?

To Josh' s query.
Yep!
This is the one on the Omark, that I scrubbed with a bronze brush and Hoppes untill it came out with a clean patch.
(Lengthy subject of another post.)
Most losses due to windage. Maybe a couple of elevations, but others experienced that too. Dunno why.
Easy to come third when there are only three competitors, but I got a range first and a day second too.
This has convinced me that carbon fouling can be removed, with no harm, this way.
Now, I'm going to attack the barrel on the Barnard!
