Here's something I found from an old post on Benchrest Central :-

Have you done any aggressive cleaning in the throat area? Your at a point in the lifespan of the barrel that requires frequent and seperate cleaning in the first 6-8 inches of the barrel to remove carbon fouling and to keep the heat checking under control.

This is from Dave Tooley (who needs no introduction if you're a long range BR shooter) and he's talking about a barrel that's done 300 rounds. I have been following this advice for my short career with 6.5x284 (using 2213SC exclusively), and have never had problems with carbon buildup in the throat area. Admittedly I don't have a bore-scope, but I haven't noticed any resistance to tight patches in the first 6 - 8 inches. And this includes 3 barrels with lives of 1500, 900 and 600 respectively.

I'm thinking of building an F Class rifle and would like to use a 6.5 x 55 AI.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to a gunsmith with a reamer or someone who rent/sells a reamer . I would also like to have my Tikka reamed out as well .
What twist rate would be the best for 139 Scenars or the 140/142 SMK's, also might try the 123 Lapuas. Have use some of the Lapua 108 's in my Tikka for a bit of fun but with a 22" barrel it doesn't do that well.
I have a Rem 700 for the action , this is currently a HB .308.

JB try Kieth Hills or Pro Cal I am sure they would have the reamers for this cartridge I think most 6.5 ppl are using 1/8 1/8.5 twist
If U internd puting the REM in a new stock U may want to consider a barrel block this will allow U to hang a long barrel and not have to sleeve the REM to stiffen it up.

I've bought a couple of reamers from Dave Manson

He does a 6.5x55 ackley improved. Get a finishing reamer with a floating pilot - it'll be good for at least 10 chamberings. Make sure you get the throat right for the bullets you want to use.

If you send some fireformed brass to a die maker you'll be able to get a full length or shoulder bump die made. Alternatively, ask Dave Manson to make you a reamer to cut a full length die. This may well be cheaper.

Expect to pay more money to set a rifle up for a chambering that isn't offered by the major die making companies.
