Interesting to note that the Horsham PM results are not posted on the NRAA website Yet.

Yeah, don't know what is going on there. Scores were being input on a laptop and were on display just minutes after the completion of each range. One would presume they were using the NRAA system?

They still have to specifically upload the results to the NRAA web site after each event is input & crunched. It isn't an automatic function & from what I've been told can be tricky first time you try it.

Results are now on the VRA website, nothing on the NRAA site yet.

There is still some work to do with the NRAA results submission program in my opinion. What I believe it needs is the ability to import a text file (of a specific format), so other programs can export to it. For example at our OPM the priority is the onsite electronic scoreboard being kept up to date. The display output of the NRAA program isn't suitable for this. Having to key in every shot again at the end of the meeting will be a real chore.

I agree, Alan.

I understand that NRAA is prepared to offer a standalone program that can be retrouploaded if the States pay to have it written, but some of us up here are suggesting through QRA that the real need is for an upload file to be designed that could be completed by a PM promoter & posted to a central State Association location for uploading into the NRAA system. I suspect that it would have certain issues, for example, verifying shooter by his SID, which seems to be an automatic function in the software, but the benefit would be that it would be capable of being sanitised by a qualified person before inputting.

The big issue for Queensland is that there are quite a few locations without the capability of using the on line software in real time & unless they retroinput (wouldn't that send tears down your legs?), the PM will not count towards grading.

All other Vic PM results have been uploaded to the NRAA site as the daily matches conclude, but this work was done by a member who has advanced computer skills. He did attend most of the Vic OPM's but not Horsham.
Perhaps a few more members from each DRA need additional training to ensure this skill is not left to one member.
What are other states doing???

That's the crux of it Alan - it ISN'T a results submission program but a whole event management system. NRAA put our OPM into the system last Wednesday (fill you in tomorrow) and it's a great concept but nowhere near as easy as using an Excel spreadsheet and - as you pointed out - quite incapable of displaying the progressive scores in the manner we're accustomed to at Rosedale.
