Since Alan is probably busy channelling his shooting guru to keep the other mere mortals informed, I will spread some of the gossip.
Alan has so far only dropped one point in 8 ranges, so he has made a slight improvement over his lead up performance.
Cameron McEwan has also jumped up and did not drop any points today to take todays daily agg.
2nd place in todays agg was D McNamara. Ho hum you think, Dave is up there as usual, well he is but it is Dennis, Daves father in 2nd in todays agg with Dave in 3rd place for the day.
There has been a lot of gear swapping and changing lately, with Dave Mac using one of Wild Dogs guns, Alan using Shane Greens scope, Shane Green borrowing someone elses, then Alan swapping scopes again for some reason today. Vikki Cussack and Shane Greene have been shooting great, just ahead of Wild Dog, using some more of Wild Dogs guns and ammo. I think Mark is reloading for about 1/2 dozen different leading guns he has lent out for this shoot. Awesome job Mark. He certainly has the manufacturers title for this meet. You wouldn't believe the amount of time and effort Mark of Wild Dog stocks is putting into supplying guns and ammo for long distance travellers to use for this shoot.
Jason Mayers and Steve Sharp are both also shooting awesomely in F/tr battling up in the front positions as well.
The conditions today have usually been fairly good in general, with a few bad patches catching a few shooters out badly. The scores at the top end were fairly high in general, but this is more a case of the increase in the level in shooting than the wind conditions.
In F std A grade, it is Ernie Mace in 1st place. I saw him shoot a 60.7 at 900yds today so he is on fire. New A grader Josh Reid is in 2nd place with Bob Perderson in 3rd.
In F Open, Alan Frazer has only dropped 1 point and has a 3 point lead over Cameron Mc Ewan who is 1 point ahead of Jenni Hausler, with Dennis MacNamara showing his son Dave learning from his father 1 point behind.
Steve Sharp is 2 points ahead of Mark Fairburn in F/TR with Jason Mayers and Vikki Cussick another point behind. In 5th place is Vikkis partner Shane Green.
Conditions are forecast to be fairly light tomorrow, but with Belmonts reputation for unpredictable conditions around midday, the leaders are not feeling too safe with 900yds and 1000yds coming up tomorrow.

Interesting to note, at least 8 of the top ten Fstandard shooter are using a pedestal, not sure about Dennis or Ray..

NEWS FLASH - Breaking news from camping area that could have an influence on the final result today :
Veteran shooter ( he is not a young man) Cameron McEwan has taken a bad fall apparently, while transferring his rifle to the car.
Scope is reportedly smashed.
Ambulance is on its way.
It is believed that he didn't recognize a tent peg, which he tumbled over and cracked his head on the rear bumper bar.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Cam. Sitting in second place you are one of our best hopes of knocking off the old travelling Mexican.

I have just seen old Cam and I suspect some form of brain damage going by the incoherent ramblings, uncoordinated movements, strange stares into space, spontaneous incontinence and flatulence. His wife says he is just the same but he scratched her bloody gun. I think he has been watching too much of the world cup and staged the fall to make it look like Alan pushed him.

Thank God he is OK . I was really worried about him, but from your description it sounds 100% like the old Cam that we all know and love is just fine, and acting normally in every respect.

Buggered and Beat that's end of another Queens . Feel a bit sorry for Josh as i feel he deserved the title in B grade. Yesterday was the day for Dalby RC .

Cam won the day agg and I did a Lazarus and managed a range win at 500 and 2nd for daily agg and missed out out 2nd by 2x's total agg.

Day3 started out good with a 58 .?? For third in b grade .
However the dreaded 1000 struck ! Managed to save a 49.0! Dreadfull! But still better than the 45 that I had last year !

I don't know where we all washed up in the end . But I know I'll be lucky to stay in the top five .
Congrats to the winners in B Grade.
Thanks for all of the people in our detail I'll mention Shane Green , Viki Cusick, Dennis Formaitti. You were all a great bunch to be with!
Also thanks to my Club Mates Julie and Cam. Especially for the hugs and sympathies after my dreadful 1000yd !
