WARA seeking F class shooters for Tasmania 2014

Post by Brad Y »

Any WA shooters interested in forming a team to shoot Tassie in 2014? I mentioned it to the mrs and she said go for it! Maybe my 2014 trip to USA fishing could turn into a tasmanian holiday!

Hi BRAD I have been over east with W A teams shoot twice with F class.
We must have F class captain and manager so it will go along smoothly
Sometimes things are done that is not in our best interest in teams.
I will be over east next month shooting the two queens
We may have a chat about f open in the future

Hi Terry, so far I know 3 people have sent in expressions of interests for shooters and i also said I was willing to have a go at the captains role. I also have a coach lined up as well.

Im not going anywhere for a while aside from exmouth in the next few weeks for a fishing trip, but once I get back we will probably come up to Perth every now and then to visit the inlaws and I will do some shooting at swanbourne. Would be great to catch up.

Having a go

Post by bartman007 »

Hi Brad / Terry,

It's all about having a go. Once you have competed in Tasmania, you can learn from that experience. At the next team shoot you will be so much better.

Of course, learning from your fellow TR State team members will go a long way to preparing your F Open team.

Muster up as many people as you can get (Shooters and Coaches), then put them through a couple of trials. Then work out whom works well with each coach.

Good luck.

Mike- agreed, I would like to have enough people to send in EOI's that we can hold trials. Heck maybe then I wouldnt get it. But its been a while since WA was well represented in FO and that needs to change. Im willing to put in some effort to get it going, but end of the day its up to shooters to want to do it. If I cant, I wonder if WARA and NTRA would consider a combined team as I know there are a couple of fellas in the NT might be willing to have a go.

Hi Brett- mate would be good to have another shooter send an EOI to Steve Jenkin. Type something up and email it through to him saying your interested in going to tasmania 2014 for the state teams shoot as part of FO!

Chev, even though its after their closing date, I would still say send the email through as an expression of interest. Where abouts you shooting and what rig you running mate?

I have confirmed we have enough expressions of interest sent in so its up to WARA to make the call if they want to send a team. Ive pushed it with them and will continue to do so. Hopefully the committee will endorse it and advertise official nominations soon!

I am shooting at swanbourne wit PFRC, looking to have a 7 WSM built. I might head down, catch up with the family and shoot at the queens anyway, good excuse for a holiday.
