AICS 1.5 Stock - Adjust Butt Pad

#1 Postby SiR ELOS » Wed Jun 06, 2007 10:28 pm

Hi All,

New shooter, so be gentle... I have purchased an AICS 1.5 stock and wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the butt pad up or down.

If someone knows of this can be done, lets talk!

I have one, just not here at moment. Getting rifle built using it so its at my smiths.

As far as I understand, the butt plate/pad only uses spacers, so it does not adjust up and down, just you can change the LOP.

If its the cheek piece, just two screws.

Cheers

Thanks. Reason being, Dewey cleaning rod hits the butt plate... No big one.

Cleanbore make a longer cleaning rod for these occasions that take the dewey brushes.
I have seen bores fail permaturely due to lifting the cleaning rod handle over the butt and causing wear on one side of the throat even when a bore guide was used.

Thanks for all the reply's. All i need to do, is remove the top bolt and loosen the bottom bolt. This allows me to swing all butt plates out of the way for the cleaning rod. Eh, it works!
