What a great contest in F-Open!! Craig McGowan finished without dropping a shot in the Queens https://www.nraa.com.au/nqra-queens-2019-results/ and only 1 point dropped in the Grand Agg!! Probably a record I would think. His shooting included a 60.9 at 900m, also probably a record. Steve Lazarus bagged a 60.10 at 800m and was in a large group of shooters close behind Craig at the finish. Congrats to all winners =D> =D> =D> =D> .

Yes at 500m - I saw that. I judged the 60.9 at 900m as more worthy of mention - its so much harder to get Xs at 900m/1000yds.

Craig, when are you going to give us a rundown on the 5 days of competition. And more importantly, the social activities on the range?

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the kind words. I will give a run down on the five days of festivities when I get home. I was up at 2:30 for the long drive home.

It is not too often that I get to shoot with Cairns crew, so it was a privilege to come aware with the silverware from some of the top F Open shooters in the country. It was also great to catch up with arguably the best two wind coaches in the country. I will put up some pictures tonight of “van” that one of them turned up in.

Gotta run. I have 7 hours more to drive.
