Re: Au Match Rifle & Long Range F Class + Ultra Long Range
Great event with an excellent roll up of competitors and weather has been kind so far with only a slight delay for rain yesterday but we still managed to get in all 10 ranges for the individual competition,
Rob Jeffery from NSW won the F Open Individual competition on 864.22 by 7 points from Ernie Mace of Queensland. FTR Grand Agg won by Marty Kelly of Victoria on 835.17 from Paul Murphy on 812.13. Paul Monaghan from Tassie won the Match Rifle on 759.70 by 11 points from Tom Smith of Qld. Paul's shoot included a perfect 75.15 on the last 1000 yard range and a 99.10/100 on the final 20 shot at 1200 yard range.
NSW took out the first of the State Teams' event in F Open by 4 points from QLD with SA third and in the new FTR Team's event Victoria took out the first Stage with NSW 1 point behind and South Australia only a further point behind. The first of the Match Rifle State Teams' event was also a close competition with QLD winning the first event by 2 points from NSW and VIC who were only separated on centres with SA 4th and Tasmania 5th.
So all is set for a great competition tomorrow for the final Teams' event in all disciplines and weather forecast looks good!
A good number of people are also staying on to take on the challenge of shooting the 1500 yard event on Sunday.

Re: Au Match Rifle & Long Range F Class + Ultra Long Range
What a brilliant 9 days of competitive shooting, excellent company, unequalled facilities, phenomenal organisation and outstanding weather.
A huge thank you to Coonabarabran RC for putting on an awesome PM on flawless electronic targets. Great job to the club and committee.
The National Match Rifle Championships, state teams match and the 1500 yard match was unsurpassable. Thanks to the excellent markers who where unbelievably fast and very accommodating. Thank you Phil, Cliff and Sue for all your hard work, it could not have gone any better.
Congratulations to all the winners.
I strongly encourage any other keen and competitive target shooter to put the next one in their calendar.
When and where else in Australia could you shoot for 9 days solid from 500meters to 1500yards.
