Singo,

I'll be attending ACT queens, what was the issue in Sydney? Was there a electronic target issue?
Ive only shot on hexta and they seem ok..
Got the feeling something has happened in the past going by RDavies comment.

Cheers

Sydney F class was shot on manual targets owing to the quantity & unreliability of the K'bergs at that time at that range. I am not casting aspersions on other ranges or ruling out a future improvement with ET's at Malabar ...

I will go if the new administration have addressed the power drop issues with the end targets & if their RO & Comp Director interpret the rules correctly re ET's.

NQRA has resolved that by feeding the power in at the middle of the daisy chain.

One problem that seems to be emerging with the NQRA Kongsbergs is that some of the data transfer plugs occasionally give trouble. A few glitches were solved at the last Pennants shoot by unplugging, cleaning and spraying the plug pins and working them back together again. Perhaps this will get worse as they age.

In this respect, it may be that wireless connectivity may in the long term be more reliable although it does have issues of its own if not setup properly.

Does anybody have any idea why the Canberra Rifle Club website is offline and has been for some time?

I've noticed in the comments that some shooters are not competing because of the targets?
Are these kongsberg targets that bad, that people would prefer to stay at home?

If maintenance and shot counts and proper set up aren't managed then any ET system can be a pain. Sadly when you get bit, your rarely going to put your hand out again.

Konsberg targets are very good I shoot on them all the time at my club (Lyndhurst NSW), but they, like all things need to be set up right & managed right. The RO's operating the firing point must understand their operations & the shooting rules pertaining to them!!! They tend to suffer from voltage drop when too many monitors are daisy chain connected. They and probably all others can suffer with strong frontal & quartering winds.
