WTB FRONT REST JOYSTICK

#1 Postby wjburns » Sun Mar 04, 2018 9:20 am

:D Gidday
i have been shooting f class standard for the last year and a half and its about time to step up to a real rest
done most of my shooting on a lba bi pod, but find i get far better results when using a borrowed front rest ,eg seb, shadetree, ect ect
have read post about pay once cry once ,,, but $ 2000 .00 and the 6 month waiting is a bit over the top for me at this point of my f class career,
so if anybody has a good quality rest that they would like to sell ,i would be open to advice ,on type, make ,ect

or do i just go ftr

please give me a call or post

May I suggest that you go FTR.

If you are coming from F-Std then you already have most of what you need.

Front rests are much cheaper, with Seb Joypod being around $650 new. A far cry from the $2K for a pedestal rest. And of course there are a number of cheaper bipods available too!

Technique is all it takes to overcome inaccuracies. I have seen Don Laughton shoot a 60.10 off a bipod, so they can be just as accurate!

Seb Mini's are about $1100 new & give nothing away to the heavier more expensive rests.
They even have a larger footprint than the Seb Max's, and only weigh aprox. 6kg . Perfect for traveling.

I have a Caldwell Fire Control Rest that im soon to put up for sale. (Recently upgraded to a Mini) .... But, I wouldnt call it 'quality' when compared to a Seb or Shadetree.

Easier said then done. I tried a few months ago to order a new mini. Got an initial response with a price but that was all. I still have emails that have gone unanswered. Gave up waiting for a reply in the end.

WJ, please email me for details.

sebaustralia@hotmail.com

The factory didn’t do a real big run of joypods so wasn’t able to get very far down my wait list, not 100% sure when the next run is at this stage.

I have given up on being able to purchase a SEB Joypod. Promises of a mid 2017 delivery then December 2017 and then who knows.
In my humble opinion, SEB has let down Australian shooters badly.
Cheers

Brenton, who have you contacted in an attempt to get one?

I don’t have your name, or, at least the name “Brenton” on my waiting list. Get in touch.

And as far as letting the Aussie market down, I’ve filled orders for 40 rests this last 3 months, I am getting towards the end of the wait list I had, given there were orders for over 500 globally, and Australia is a baby shooting wise compared to other countries who place orders for 200 at a time, I’d say we’ve done pretty well.

Keep em in the middle....

Jase.

I was on a wait list with the QRA, II have spoken to you on a couple of occasions, the latest about 4 months ago and at that time you could not tell me when they would be available. There seems to be a feeling here in SA that suppliers are looking after their eastern state mates maybe. Anyway at this time I am no longer interested in purchasing.
Cheers

I have a Shadetree available. Its on a Caldwell rock base and has 1 long straight handle and a shorter bent one to suit different stock designes. No sandbag, but theres a carpet lined wooden block for a 3"rider.
$400+ shipping.
