WTB - Barnard Extractor

#1 Postby Swampy Senior » Wed Jul 19, 2023 1:06 pm

Dear Brains Trust,
I am looking for an extractor claw for an early model (1990) Barnard.
I have been in touch with a reputable gunsmith in Sydney but I have been advised that there will be a significant delay in obtaining an after-market one.
I know that this may be a long shot, but does anyone have one spare?
Regards,
SwampySenior

There is a 1991 vintage Barnard Bolt (308 face) for sale here:

https://targetequipment.com.au/rifle-ac ... nly-std-3/

@$450 it's a pretty expensive extractor...

Down in Hobart George Hollan is an old school gunsmith who routinely makes hard/impossible to get parts from scratch. He could probably make you one reasonably promptly. He does not advertise but I can put you in contact if you'd like.

How many hours do you think is involved in making one ?
