#1 Postby GSells » Mon Sep 10, 2018 8:05 am

Hi all , I am wanting to buy a 6.5 mm 8 twist bartlien , Maddco , lilja , Brux , 30”-32 “ long barrel.
That has been deemed to be worn out 2000 odd rounds on .

I just want to also grow a Man Bun and chamber in 6.5 creedmore for my PRS rifle in club use ( waste of a good new barrel) please pm me . I’ll pay for postage and will make an offer that suits both of us depending on condition. [-o<

6.5 SLR is the way to go. Gives you 6.5 x284 performance from a short action and no need for the man bun :D
Matt P has the reamer and resize your 308 cases for brass . Widden gun works for dies.

6.5x55 AI has to be worth considering as well. but maybe more for f class than PRS

Lack of recoil is everything in prs. 6.5 creedmore or 260 rem seem to be common .
I’m currently shooting my 308 without a break and it near impossible to be competitive. A break is a must and a ten round mag ! Barrel ware is also consideration as they wack them down fast .
6 mm’s seem to be common to . Former Nat prs champ uses a 6 Brx .

I put my prs barrel on a Tikka action with a terminator t3 brake and will be dropping it into an Austec arms chassis, if it ever arrives. The 6.5slr is just a long necked 260 really. A bit bigger than the creedmore but I've sized palmer brass for it.

Sorry gman, that doesn't help you get your barrel. Unfortunately my prs barrel was my worn out 6.5x284
I can send you a good 308 barrel that you could thread for a brake. 26" 1:12

I’m jealous ! Timmy !! Mostly likely a bart too!

The main problem with the Creedmore is .... I’m going bald and it would be a comb over man bun!!
Not a good look !! Most likely get banned from the range by the RO!!

The .308 barrel sounds good , what Brand ?

It's an old true flight. It's threaded for a Barnard P though so might not be enough left if it needs a full rechamber? You might get away with it if you can just reduce the thread diameter to go in your action. If you have to chop it there wont be much over 24".

Just buy a Savage axis in 243, grow your man bun, buy some ugly pants with tight calves and baggy crotch, and carry a no fat stevia sweetened soy latte and get a man bag to go with the auto tranny you put in your Subaru Forester!!!

Seriously though the 243 is not one to rule out.

Do you guys just want to cuddle and be done with it! I do shoot a 260 rem with a maddco barrel which was a bitch to get the shot to shot deviation down to single figures, had to use std Fiocochi primers. It will hold the the super centre at 1000 yds for elevation. The 6.5 SLR is a better designed case and easily formed and can be made from any 308 based case.
