Sierra Projectiles

#1 Postby scott/r » Sun Oct 01, 2017 6:17 pm

Is there a difference between the c2156 and the 2156 palma projectiles from sierra? Or is it just different packaging?

Size of the box Scott (100 or 500 box)

Out of interest, that really big shop near you has the 500 boxs on sale at the moment. 500 for $239. with the availability of Bergers I am thinking of changing back
Cheers

Yeh mate they do. The price is one of the reasons I'm looking at the sierras. $314+ for 500 bergers (with the rumour of the next shipment being dearer again) is getting right up there in price. And the shop that shall not be named has a lot of sierras on the floor. But they are advertised as 2156c where at the q store it's 2156 palma.

All good thanks guys, have found out that they are the same projectiles. The "c" just denotes that it's a 500 pack.

before bergers were available, most of us used sierras.
we had to batch them, a pita.
then we could get bergers not much dearer, and they did not then need batching.
this actually made them possibly more economic than the sierras, and a lot less work to boot.
now bergers need batching as much as sierras, and sierra and hornady are getting their b.c.s up, the older brands are looking more inviting again.
i had a lot of bergers that blew up in significant numbers.
eric stecker had just taken over berger, and he sent me 400 of his new bullets by mail at no cost to prove his did not blow up.
keep safe,
bruce.
