#1 Postby KTM525 » Thu Jul 27, 2017 8:44 pm

Good evening all,
I have just purchased a Barnard SC action rifle and I'm after a good bore guide.
I'm after advice if I may on where I may be able to get one.
Thanks very much

I haven't had a need to get one for my Barnard as it came with a bore guide for my .284win. when i ordered the action from Mac Tilton but if I we're in need of another I'd contact Mike Lucas at Lucas for a bore guide. I've got a couple of them now for a Rem. style action and for my AI action/rifle. I like them very much.

Tell him what action you have, caliber and what cleaning rod you are using and he will make you one.

Here is a link.....his name and email is at the bottom of the page. He only does email's. You send in your check/payment and he has the bore guide done in like 2 weeks. I'm not sure about shipping to Australia but worth checking out.

Mike Lucus told me he does not post to Australia. This was about 4 months ago. PMA tools have guides for Barnard actions, not sure if they have one for your type. Check their website.

I sourced my P bore guides from Sinclair Intnl. However I am fairly certain Eric Sinclair @ Possum Hollow supplies SInc Int. His list of guides doesn't show Barnard but I am sure he would supply. In the past he supplied me a guide to fit a Brno that wasn't listed.

I think Stuart Elliot may also be an agent.

Lucas would be my first choice though.....

Does Lowey do guides?

The Barnard ones are another option but they are pretty basic and don't have a seal on the snout to prevent solvent run back.
