benchmark barrel markings

hi,
could anyone tell me what the stamped markings on the barrel in the photo mean, not sure about the 2997 stamp

My guess 30cal 5 grove 1in11 twist I would second serial number theory

30cal
5 groove
1-11 twist
I would say that .2997 would be the pilot dimension.

But it might be a coincidence and just be a serial #..

Compare your photo with the photo of the Benchmark barrel in the for sale section from March 16th.
