Re: 6.5x47
Sorry, no load info for 142 SMKs. Personally never thought that was the realm for my 6.5x47. I have a 6.5AI as well so can drive the 140s/142s fast in that.
For my 6.5x47 with 31" barrel I initially used 123 gr Scenars and 38.0 gr of 2208 which gave me stunning accuracy and goodish velocity. I dropped this projectile/combination though as it offered no great advantage over my 6mmBR. I settled on the 130 gr Berger VLD which still gives superb accuracy and reasonable velocity for the case. Initial powder was 2209 (41.5 gr IIRC) and final powder choice Reloder 15.

Re: 6.5x47
Yeah my barrel was specifically set up for 123 gr Scenars but all good with the 130 Bergers.

For the best velocity with heavy for caliber bullets in that cal your best bet will probably be 2209. Otherwise 37.5 2208 and 130 bergers is a fairly common load but work up as per usual.

Re: 6.5x47
Just checked back thru my loading notes and my load of 41.5 gr of 2209 with 130 gr Berger VLDs was using a looooong droptube and even then was mildly compressed. Swapped to RL15 but didn't try 2208. Something I will try at some stage as Alliant powder is not the easiest to source. Extremely low ES with RL15 but almost certainly more temperature sensitive than ADI.

140gn projectiles are being used successfully in the 6.5x47 quite commonly. Its just a matter of waiting for more people to post.
