No Probs
I haven't tried the hornady 178 gr . But I have run 168 gr ( PDIs ) and they shot very well..

I will be interested to see.
I chronoed my 175 load out of my 28" barrel using a Palma short throat chamber.
I repeatedly got between 4000 and 4025 fps
Strange thing was my mates literally just tested 223 loads on the same chrono before I jumped on and got normal readings.
At this point I have the fastest 308 in town.
I will list it for sale for $10000 if it reads the same on a different chrono

I am shooting 185gn Berger Juggs from a Maddco 26inch 1:10 Barrel at 2,713ft/sec. Using 44.6gns of AR2208, Winchester Cases.
Chronied just a couple of weeks ago.
Hope this helps.
