7saum ammo boxes??

#1 Postby BATattack » Sun Oct 13, 2013 10:33 pm

Has anyone found a decent 50 round ammo box for the 7saum?

The 100 round MTM ones are good in the way the hold the case but are too big most of the time.

I can't close the lid on a 50 round MTM box because they are a touch too long with 180s seated out.

The R-50 Series boxes are plenty tall enough for the SAUM & long bullets.

ok nice! How do they go if you tip em upside down, do the fired or unfired cases fall out?

Thats the only drawback, fired cases spill out when the ammo box is tilted.

On the plus side is they should be tall enough to take a loaded 195 grainer when they become available.

Exactly!! :-)

Yeah I might give them a go. I might try a piece of foam in the lid and see if that stops the cases falling out

Hi Bat
Give Dennis Shallis a call at http://www.allthingsshooting.com.au/page/home
dennisshallis@iprimus.com.au

Dennis runs a saum and has some great ammo box's that we use, they do dual duty if you load to long you cant close the lid if you load short the box rattels, they were cheap enough I have a dozen.
