what action?

#1 Postby westernsky » Fri Sep 20, 2013 12:40 pm

g'day all.
its been a while since ive been here, i hope everyone is doing well, both on and off the range!
anyway, i was wondering who makes a direct drop in replacement for rem700 actions? unfortunately due to the projectile situation at the moment i need to rebarrell my rifle so i figured while im at it i may as well put in a better action.
i need a long action magnum bolt face, single shot.
thanks heaps for the help

happy shooting!

I used to have a stiller but after playing with a kelbly "atlas" action they are head and shoulders in front of the other rem 700 clones ive seen.

Kelblys have their own export licence and can do you a chambered barrel for less than the cost of a blank alone over here!

They do a long or short action and they are very good value aswel.

Not if you want a new action, they haven't made any for a good few years. The only flat base action that's been available to order in the last 18 months is a run of Viper SS action they finished at the start of the year but they had been in the works for close to 3 years. They have a run of Alloy Vipers in the works but the eta had been pushed forward.
