I was just wondering, if I were to change this 260 rem to the AI version, what is involved? Should I buy the reamers ? Does it matter that its a chrome moly barrel ? Do you use the same seating die as 260 rem (redding) and just order a new body die ? At the moment my accuracy node is around 41.5 gr 09 which is pretty tame .... but at least its not spraying anymore.
40 degree shoulder ?

FWIW if your happy with accuracy, dont fix what isnt broken. If your not 100% happy with accuracy then rebarrel it in the cal you choose. AI'ing a case might not make it more accurate especially if the factory barrel is being a dog. It probably needs alot more time and work to run in- my krieger 308 took ages for some reason.
Basically if there is enough meat in the barrel for a rechamber it will be remove barrel, chop a few threads off and run the reamer in. It will leave you a slightly shorter barrel. I would have thought that a good smith wouldnt just poke in a reamer in case the original chamber isnt true- mine wouldnt anyway.
12 weeks plus wait from the US for wildcat reamers at the moment unless you find a smith with a reamer already here.
