Stolle Panda

#1 Postby Singo85 » Sat Jul 07, 2012 7:45 pm

G'day All,

Ihave just bougt a second hand stolle panda action with kelby rings, can anyone tellme what the numbers on therings mean, mine have: +5+ & +6+

Also as the dovetail on the action is not 20 MOA what is the best way to achieve a 20 MOA, a adaptor rail or 25MOA rings from kelby.

Cheers
Michael

You can get a tapered weaver rail adapter from Kelblys. With one of these you can use any of the common rings out there.

Stewart Elliott at BRT www.benchrest.com.au has the Kelby 25 moa rings listed.

G'Day all,
any extra bolt on type rail will add approx 1/2" (13mm) to the height of the scope over the bore centreline, I have the BRT ones and they are solidly mounted but higher than the equivalent Kelbly design.
It may be better to source rings with built in moa such as the Kelbly's or shehanes/stillers (I think) to keep the scope low.
Nevertheless, my BRT add on rail works very well and I wont be spending the extra coin on tapered rings.
Hope this helps
Cheerio Ned

Regarding the numbers stamped on the rings,
they are just there so the tops and bottoms stay
together as a correctly assembled matching set.

cheers,
Chris
