I don't think I mentioned that the projectile contained a capsule of lachrymatory gas.

Well it is legal for F Open. I know Alan and Pestbird don't mind recoil. It will save us having to bring wind coaches next year if they load it with 275gn Monolithic projectiles some Poms were playing with a while back.

I'm trying to figure out how to neck this down to 8mm - might leave the neck a bit short?

Alan :-k

I think you might have to push the shoulder back to 40 degrees, but you could straighten the walls so you dont lose the much needed case capacity.
The only problem I see with rules is that some ranges wont allow the shooters to run 3" spikes on the front of their shoots to stop the recoil from pushing them back down the mound. I though of putting the shooters on a cannon trolley, but that would be construded as return to battery.

Perhaps it could just be used for the last shot at each range, and provide a very quick method of moving back to next mound? (as long as it wasn't used at the Belmont 1000yd mound).

Just checked the case capacity of the 7.92 Panzer, 250 grns of 2208. Used 08 as a comparison with a. 308.

More than 5 times the capacity. Now that would be interesting.
