I have 479 I won't need in any hurry if someone wants me to post from TAS and when they become available again just replace them.

Just let me know, I can post pretty much to anywhere in oz for $15.

They are on their way to the big island.

Went and had a chat to Dave the new owner of HBC Projectiles today. He is pulling his hair out waiting for a new die and expects to be back up to speed in 2 weeks time. A punch shattered and in the process scored one of the final dies.

john

I hope he will start to carry some spares for his production machinery and dies. Not carrying spares for such crucial equipment while not stockpiling supplies to overcome shortages is asking for trouble.

I think you'll find that he does carry spares but sometimes if something is not quite right you'll break all them too. Ever had 2 or 3 flat tyres in one day?

Speaking of carrying spares, you are allowed to do the same and buy a few thousand at once when they are available

This is true and is exactly what we do and although I know this comment was tongue in cheek not everyone is in a position to do this so constancy of supply is something they should be able to to rely on. I'm not so keen on opening up the supply of projectiles but with these sort of incidences I'm seriously having second thoughts.

Maybe it should be opened up to any projectile you can get hold of.

He has used the spares up and the replacements have been on order since late last year. The USA manufacturer was over here and did a full service on the machine and according to Dave will be coming out each year.

#27 Postby bartman007 » Tue Apr 24, 2012 3:30 pm

SOLD very quick.

**********************************************
Hi All,

I do have an almost full box of Dyer Lot 15 available at cost. There is 900+ projies in there.

PM me if you need them. I'm going to Mackay next week, so if you're in NSW or QLD I may be able to save you some postage.

Currently shooting F-Open, so don't really have a need for them at the moment.

G'Day All,
a good mate of mine makes SR BR bullets and when he orders dies it takes up to 6 months to deliver them, I find it hard to see how it could be any different to the Dyer's.........I could be wrong and hope I am BUT..........given we are a very small country and suffer the tyranny of distance should we just bite the bullet (pun intended!) and allow in the SSR's any bullet upto 80.1gn in 224 and up to 155.1gn in 308 just to ensure a reliable supply of bullets to compete?

This has to make sense especially if we limit the alternative bullet BC's to equal the max BC of the currently allowed bullets under the existing ssr's?

Cheerio Ned
