Shaun,

No direct experience, but I suspect 300WM might be too long. And WSM might be okay sleeved. I've seen too many shooters struggling with Omark bolt lift to think it could be done by just opening up the bolt face.

Shaun,

I can't get a measure of the diameter of the head of an Omark bolt because of the 3 lugs, but the wall thickness at the head recess is no more than .050" - down closer to .040" in places. With a head size of .532-.535" compared with the .308 head size of .472", your magnums are going to leave you no more than .020" wall thickness were the recess machined out for the larger head.

I would reckon that you'll be hard pressed to find a competent gunsmith willing to play roulette with those margins.

I have one statement to make "don't do it"! Such a conversion would be irresponsible.
