They work for me, using the same load as the sierra 2156. (45.5gr 2208, 2.845" coal for noslers, about 10thou jump) It seems to group in the x ring, i have not had ideal conditions yet but it consistently gets good results.

the difference for me between sierra 2156 and nosler, using the same powder load and jump, is only 1/4-1/2 moa out to 500m. If you are getting a 3 moa drop over 100m then it just means the tuning is different and the projectile is leaving the barrel when its at a different part of its vibration pattern. The ballistics are not that different.

Ive tryed them. My rifle likes them thrown at 46.5gr 2208 and also 47gr seems to be ok aswell but need to do some more testing. But due to my shorter barrel length I have to get them going faster quicker, so more powder.
When you run numbers but, the lose a bit to the #2156 SMK and HBCs. Not as flat when thrown at same MV.

Chopper,
I have a Kreiger 1-12T 26" Heavy Palma barrel. I think a 1-13T to 1-11T should be fine for the Noslers. Id be tempted to go for a 1-11T as will give you more flexability with other projie weights should you ever decided to. I have shot upto 175gr in my 1-12T.

I have a shilen heavy varmint match barrel 28" 1:12 Twist.
I agree the sierra and HBCs will fly marginally flatter than the noslers, as they are longer, but at the moment i can get a tighter group from the noslers, and thats a heck of a lot more important to me than one or two 1/4 moa clicks worth of elevation !

The 223 80gr nosler CC projectiles also blow up with my 1:7 twist savage LRPV, the sierras do not blow up so i use them. I have never had a problem with the 308 noslers but if you do the math thats understandable.
Its interesting the 6.5mm noslers also blow, i assume you have a 1:8 twist ?
(defn "blow up" = the slugs disintegrate and spin themselves apart in a grey puff a couple of hundred metres downrange. I have seen the 'puff')

I think the jackets are a bit thin and since the lead core is denser than the copper jacket the lead tears the projectile apart by centrifugal force (OK centripetal acceleration if you are a physicist). Remember also the jacket has been scored by the rifling which makes it even weaker.
The 223 rem pills i shoot from my 1:7 are going around 200,000 RPM. A lot faster than any 308 pill from my 1:12 even though they are both moving about 2900fps laterally.
